Food Drive And Toy Collection

For the next two weeks Westonka BNI is collecting non-perishable food items for the local food shelf. Please bring these items to our Tuesday meeting.

Also, WeCan is looking for toys for 8-17 year olds for Christmas. These unwrapped presents must be in by this Tueday.

This morning Dawn Stilinovich, of Fetch It Pet Services stepped up to the plate and gave a last-minute presentation at the Westonka BNI. She did a great job of letting us know about pet resources in and around the Twin Cities. Thank you, Dawn!

MSP Delayed One Week

You are receiving this note because some of your Westonka BNI members registered for the December 8th MSP 2.0 at the Hopkins Firehouse.

Due to Hopkins City business, we no longer have use of the facility that evening. Our MSP event has been removed from the calendar that evening.

We have rescheduled the MSP. We will be offering an MSP training on 12/15/09, 2-5PM, at the Chanhassen Recreation Center.

If you wish to join us at the newly scheduled training, please register through the BNI-MN event calendar. I hope you can join us.

BNI Members Turn Out For Mound Tree Lighting

Minnesota Viking's tight end, Jim Kleinsasser was the official "Tree Lighter" for the City of Mound Holiday display on Thursday night. Bob Christians of the Westonka BNI welcomed Jim and his family to the annual event. Other members attending included, Pat Maund, Jon Wright and John and Kristin Beise. Westonka BNI invites the local business community to visit one of our weekly meetings at the Gillespie Center.

Janet Symons, owner of State Farm Insurance in Navarre will give our 10 minute presentation next Tuesday. Please invite guests that you believe will benefit by attending.

Season Of Change

Hello BNI Westonka members,

As our Fall continues to turn to Winter (too fast, I know), change is also happening in the BNI Minnesota Region this Fall.

Beginning November 1st, your New Assistant Director will be Tara Schmakel. Tara has been a Director with BNI for the past 3 years and a very good member for nearly 5 years. Tara has been a collegue, a teammate and most of all a friend to me for the past 5 years and I am proud to have her visit BNI Westonka in the coming weeks. She brings a vast knowledge of networking and chapter building skills as she proudly served her home chapter as V.P and Education Coord among other positions. She is always open for questions!

As for Chad, I will remain as an Assistant Director with BNI-MN taking on a New role of developing New Chapters in the Western part of the Twin Cities. So if you have a collegue, friend or neighbor looking to be apart of BNI, have them contact me directly (info below). I wish you the Very Best going forward, please don't hesitate to call or email me to dicuss how to better build your BNI business!

BNI Visitors Day!!

Hey Everyone!!

I just want to email and make sure everyone is reminded to make your calls for Visitor Day next Tuesday.
(today may be the last day to get on their schedules)

Remember when you joined,, in many cases it was a personal invite from a trusted business person in the community not from a mailing! only in rare cases people will come from the mailing alone!

Even if you don't think their type of business is a good fit,, LET THEM DECIDE THAT AFTER VISITING! Just call!

When talking to people don't get hung up on the cost of membership talk about the benifits of membership the total Dollar amount of referrals passed since the first of this year (Dawn gave the amount in her VP report at the last meeting) talk about it being a structured meeting with an agenda, that it is a business refferal group not a civic organization it's only focus is passing business among its members and growing their businesses!

And of course there is no cost for them to visit and no requirement to join if they find it just wont work for them!
